What does dental hygiene have to do with sensory processing disorder? I don’t know but although we brush and floss all the time, I’m watching my son MeMe’s teeth slowly turn to cavities. Who doesn’t know yet that MeMe consumes very little sugar- not even fruit! He only has three tiny cavities so far but that’s too much for me. The dentist mentioned to me that MeMe has weak enamel and I was less than thrilled to hear it, so I started looking around at better toothpastes.

A good friend mentioned Toothsoap to me and it took me a while to check it out, but when I finally did, I saw that although it was the most expensive toothpaste I’ve ever seen, there was a Buy One Get One Free offer. So if I was ever going to try it out, it had to be now.

If you glance at the Toothsoap site, you’ll see that they have different kinds of toothpastes. I ordered the shreds in spearmint and the free one in cinnamon.

My toothpaste package arrived quickly and I was excited to try it out. First thing I noticed is that the spearmint smells delicious. It tastes great too! Second thing I realized is that I can cheat and use less than half a shred at a time, doubling or tripling my supply. My kids for sure use less than 1/3 shred at a time.

What else did I notice? I wake up still feeling fresh and clean, none of that regular toothpaste residue. And of course, no more toothpaste squeezed out all over the bathroom sink.

I even give a tiny drop to my youngest kids who are too young to rinse. They like the taste, it’s great for their teeth, and completely non-toxic! That’s a big bonus for me too, one less poison around. My kids are good kids, but they can be curious like any other.

Anyway, I decided to post about my new favorite toothpaste because the Buy One Get One Free special is still on. Take advantage!
